Afrihost New Network Feedback - Part 2

Game is Path of Exile, server is lon.login.pathofexile.com.

I suspect it might be an issue on my exchange, rather than an Afrihost issue. Just wanted to start troubleshooting somewhere.

Definitely something weird going on:

This seems very intermittent, so not likely to be a routing issue. What tests are making you suspect your exchange? :(

Is it just me or are Nvidia driver downloads slow as hell?

30KB/s on a single threaded download, but P2P is running full speed.

Haven't seen any general reports, seems like it might be a caching issue from the other comments.

Let me know if this came right for you :)

You guys might want to get your web dev team to have a look at your clientzone, you may have a bug. When you test your line, the value's are in the incorrect order.
The line attenuation and SNR for downstream/upstream are reversed. It shows downstream SNR and attenuation values for downstream in the upstream section and vice-versa.

I noticed this since downstream attenuation is always supposed to be higher than upstream attenuation. Your clientzone is showing the opposite. My router also shows the opposite of clientzone.

You may also want to check whether those are really SNR values and not SNR Margin values. There's a difference. My router shows the same values but as SNR margin.

It's not really a big, it's the way Telkom reports that data back to us. Will chat to to the dev team about whether we can improve how it is displayed.

Anyone else having issues? PE or Southern Region.

IOS apps can't connect i.e. Hay Day, Clash Royale. EA games not connecting to servers i.e. Star Wars Battlefront. Throughput seems right down as well.

Using Google DNS

I'm not aware of general issues, reports seemed pretty chilled over the weekend.

Did you see different results if you used our DNS?

My internet has also been ridiculously slow today in PE.. 4Mbps line and YouTube constantly buffering while only using 30kbps? I have made at least 5 port reset requests and for about 5min after they are done, the internet is perfectly fine and then boom.. lag and slow internet

It sounds like it could be a variety of issues here. Drop me a PM so we can troubleshoot if this is still happening :(

Yeah but the values still have to be assigned do they not? retrieve A then assign A to a variable then display it on the page. Your values are correct, they're just in the wrong place. I ask that you atleast get a dev to make sure that you're displaying them in the correct order. You've put your downstream SNR and attenuation as being upstream values and vice-versa.

Im just guessing its a server problem, any way you can download it for testing?

PS: How about AH launches a local FTP for nvidia driver updates, Ps4 updates and AMD updates?

That would be very cool.

I'm surprised that you are even getting values... Openserve have indefinitely removed any functionality with regards to the Test My Line API in ClientZone. I've got your account details and I'll pass it onto our Dev Team. :)

I'll take a look at it.
Local FTP is a great idea, but as these updates get cached it really shouldn't be necessary. :)

Its was defiantly getting pulled from a International server, let me get the IP quick.

Need help with the catos clouding up my connection. Line speed went down from 3.6Mb/s to 600Kb/s......yes you read that right. It's been like this for 3 days now, thought it would clear itself up but didn't. Missed a lot of sports since I stream, need a fix ASAP.
