Definitely something up with Afrihost and Twitch of late.... im on a capped 10 meg line and i can ONLY watch in low quality.
Switch to Webafrica free 1 gig account, can even watch in Source Quality. That right there shows its on your end guys...

Hhmmm, I'll need to confirm with our NOC team if there are any trends around Twitch. Not personally aware of any at this stage.
How's your throughput looking to Twitch?

I am not trying to be rude or stubborn.

It's not that I can't go out and obtain a trial account, it's the fact that I have to obtain one. I'm having a problem on your network.
I won't be using the ISP where I got the trial account from, so the performance I may or may not receive from them is not important to me.

I will be looking for a trial account.

One should always keep trial accounts for testing purposes. If Crystal Web trial doesn't work, then nothing will IMHO.

Afrihost: Slow downloads on the PS4, poor twitch streaming, packet loss in the Battlefield 1 beta.

Every other trial account (Web Africa, Axxess, Vox, Crystal Web): Fast downloads, normal twitch streaming, no packet loss whatsoever.

Can someone explain to me what's going on? At this rate September will be my last month with Afrihost.

Sorry to hear about the issues here :(

Guys, come on. This BS ping again? Friend and I in Durban both having the same issue.

Ping to EU should be 200, not 350.

Is your local latency OK?

I have this problem again too. Just started now at 7:30pm.
The ping to any international IP is really high.

Thanks for posting the results :)
Looks you're in KZN too - I'll have our team check this out further. Seeing too many reports from the same region :(

Sorry to hear about the issues here :(
Any test results that I can take a look at to see where the issues are coming in?

What do you need? trace routes on Afrihost and other ISPs look somewhat identical in terms of ping. The issue is when I start a stream, the stream doesn't work above low.

When I'm in a game, I'm getting packet loss on afrihost.

When I download something on psn it goes at 4mbps instead of the 18mbps that it should, other ISPs don't have this issue in all cases, so the conclusion I've came to is it's afrihost that is the problem.

From Amanzimtoti (also in KZN) ping spikes around the 380 - 400 mark to internationals. This is really starting to unsettle me. Different night, same issues. IP is for diablo 3 - Blizzard EU Server

A traceroute to a local and international destination should do - this should help our NOC team pin-point an issue.

Yeah i was very apprehensive when they said the KZN issues have been solved, so im not at all surprised.

Quick update on this guys, we're investigating a KZN specific, potential issue to the EU.
I'll have updates posted as soon as they're made available.
