Afrihost New Network Feedback - Part 2

WRT data rollover, I'm pretty sure I had in excess of 20GB left on my account for August, but none has rolled over to September, and the clientzone also won't let me go back into August, is this normal for the 1st of the month?

Drop me a PM and I'll see why the data didn't roll over :)

Nice... Just seen Gian commented on the Best ADSL capped prices, where he mentioned sometime next week we should keep an eye on our inboxes.

Im going to guess free data for a year for me, and everybody else im not worried about. :D

I'm still waiting for some love from last year after the network nightmares. Everyone but business account holders got love, and we got the empty promises.

Did you ever query a dispute with our Accounts team closer to the time?

AG but on a serious note, whatever Gian is announcing next week, it really has to be good, because those WebAfrica pricing is a huge concern to me.

200GB's at R199 vs R200GB's at 399, which is a R200 swing. So im going to get the popcorn and pizza ready, laptop out and on couch and a prayer come next week for the announcement :D

I'm sure we won't disappoint, I know it's been a while but it's been a huge last few months for us.

Just ran a quick comparison between the Web Africa deals to what we offer on Capped. Definitely great deals there, not taking that away from them :)
But their standard Capped accounts do look to be shaped though - while ours aren't.

So as a comparison that's more in line as a product type you need to look at their Business Capped accounts. I've excluded after hours data in this comparison as well as excluded any Afrihost Plus+ add-ons (which are still great value), our pricing isn't that far off :)

No I have not, but have asked this question numerous times on the forums in the past.

I've also sent a PM in the past to the representative that comes out when rubbed, but never got a response

I don't believe that a paying customer should have to jump through hoops when the company knows they are not delivering. You should be dealing with it proactively and rewarding your loyal customers. Sadly I'm probably living in the wrong country for that kind of customer service.

Well said. I too, and everyone else, am still waiting... :whistle: It's never going to happen... Not from THIS company in any case.

I see that I recommend querying a dispute with Accounts back in 2015 too. I really can't say why/ how there wasn't a blanket credit, but I really do feel like the best bet to have this reviewed during the time of the query was to contact our Accounts team.
 
AG - Can you at least give us a hint at what we can expect next week? Been holding out on signing up for AH+ as 100GB is not enough anymore :(. Really hoping for a price drop or a cap increase :p
