Afrihost New Network Feedback - Part 2

Found a suspiciously glowing afrihost email this morning looked at the new pricing.... lo and behold 5.3 at https://www.afrihost.com/site/page/acceptable_use_policy which was figuratively snuk in at midnight..... arnt these a little bit.... low?

These are fairly industry standard numbers - if you're using more data you should probably look at a Capped or Uncapped Premium product. These numbers have not changed since we launched Home Uncapped though :)

Not what I asked, when I initially signed up it was for a account without thresholds. Now this morning I see a threshold.... and I am
starting to see ghosts of working with someone like mweb again.

Our Home Uncapped accounts have always been subject to thresholds, did you sign up for a Home Uncapped account?
As above, the thresholds aren't new for Home Uncapped accounts.

EDIT: To confirm, here are the articles from the launch we did back in December.

There were always thresholds on home uncapped. It says on their website, subject to throttling. Only premium uncapped is semi shaped but not subject to throttling. Business is mostly unshaped.

Just two thoughts maybe.... use less exaggeration and no one ever actually reads a policy unless forced at gunpoint.... yours at least seem clearer than most.

@Afriguy - I'm aware that this 'free data' is a trial run up to the end of November, and it'll only be determined around that time if it's to be extended from midnight to 6pm. on a more permanent basis, after that date. However, can you confirm now, that at the very least, things would return to 'normal', whereby Afrihost would revert back to the free data from 11h30pm to 7h30am ?

Have in the last 1/2 hour, increased from the 10GB to 20GB package, in anticipation that I can make Afrihost my sole / main ISP, assuming things hold up well with your network, both towards the end of Nov., and afterwards .. look forward to your comments.

So not sure what just happened. Afrihost account will no longer connect in router, nor does any other ISP. Getting "no response". The line is synced at its speed and I'm getting SNR and attenuation values.

I assume Telkom is playing games...?

My line has been completely dead since 8pm as well. Can't connect at all.. Second day in a row this has happened

Mine also went dead 8pm

Same here. Dead from around 8pm tonight.

my post that got deleted because I'm assuming AfriHost didn't like it

So AfriGuy, can you explain what happened here? All my other ISPs worked fine, just not AfriHost. Why did AfriHost go down for me completely at 8PM last night? And this after several nights of excessively poor streaming.

I just signed up for a CW trial so I'd like to know before I make the switch, can you deliver on your product or can't you?
