Not cool. There are clearly problems on your network, and you are just brushing him off?If that's the way you feel then I'm afraid we can no longer continue to engage with you.

I personally got tired of trying to diagnose the Afrihost network for Afrihost. Nothing ever comes of the tests and complaints posted here. There is no point in posting here except for the time wasted doing so. Would Afrihost kindly fix their network please, it is not like the service is free. We pay for it.
afriguy like we said before we are not here to send tests and test your equipment we are paying for a service and we want that service we are paying for
when the service don't work we will post and it is your job to sort it out and fix the problems
i can also quote your posts from last year when your Internet service was up to crap and all the posts from you saying there is nothing wrong and in the meantime you knew there was problems
so please don't take everybody as a fool and do your job properly and stop denying when you have problems on your network
If that's the way you feel then I'm afraid we can no longer continue to engage with you.
And if anyone wants to know why Afrihost will never get the opportunity to provide bandwidth to me again, here's the answer.
Frustrated user with a bad experience.... "lalalalalala we're not listening"
Users don't want to do incessant trace routes and pings and speedtests.
And he's absolutely right about you guys claiming everything was fine when in fact you had severe IPC constraints. Historically, it's been an Afrihost problem. Why should anyone believe it's not an Afrihost problem now? The onus is on you guys to prove that you're running a reliable, well specced network. The people paying for the service should not have to prove to you that it's not your problem....
Its not about brushing people off, but not at one point has any of the reps taken anybody for fools. The poster while understandably frustrated by things, has indicated that the reps or AG has taken him for a fool. A little respect goes a long way, even in times when things are not going great. Again, the reps have been nothing but respectful from what i can see, but they are human, and can only take so much, before they break. Not cool. There are clearly problems on your network, and you are just brushing him off?

I'm happy to debate this with you via PM.

Wow... That's not a great experience. Which DNS servers were you using if you don't mind me asking? You shouldn't have been seeing any buffering on Youtube or Netflix with a 20Mbps line.
Modem set to get DNS from provider - so whatever you are sending me.
Like I said its not bad - only buffers occasionally on HD streams - its just not as good as my uncapped account. Same with NetFlix - not terrible just not as good. Quality occasionally drops to SD and streams don't start immediately.
I'm sure if cost is your primary concern this is a good deal. Can't really complain for the price.
Personally nowadays I'd rather pay a premium for the best. Ever considered budget/premium accounts? Serve both segments of the market?

Was a client of AH for 5 years - not at present+1
And it's not only the reps, it's the attitude of the entire company.
