I've never needed more than my 10G in fact I always make sure I use it up as there is no roll over. So for my needs i would only consider what I'm currently paying at AH vs Axxess which is a no brainer as I'll be getting 2gig more for less cost.

I think the Axxess promo is also a limited time offer and double data may fall away. I couldn't see when the promo is set to end, but I'm sure they have it published somewhere.
 
Just launch the Plus. Those who do not take it, and I think there will be plenty, no double data, less strain on the network.

Remember that Double Data still remains until the end of the year, unless we decide to revise or extend the promo. You won't need to pay the extra R99 to get double data while the general promotion is running.

We're not dropping the general promo, it will run as advertised until the end of the year and we may still revise or extend it. Or possibly if it is ended, it may be brought back at a later stage. It will be like any normal promo that we run.
 
The Plus may also come in handy if you are currently on a 2Mbps uncapped and Telkom upgrade the 2 to 4. To upgrade from 2 to 4 uncapped data may be more expensive than switching to capped with a Plus and double data, depending on your usage.
 
Double turbocharge, what’s the point? Turbocharge did not work when I was still with them.

Ok, will just wait and see, wrt to the VDSL.

The mobile I have already moved to Axxess.
 
I may be in the minority but i'm actually interested in this,it's not a ridiculous price. I think far less people would be complaining if the promo was a 1month vodacom style deal instead of being as long as it is. Too used to not paying extra for a good thing ;)
 
We tried Simfy recently. Based on our experience I rated it as one of the worthless parts of the package.

Remember that you can activate Double Data and 2 for 1 topups for Capped DSL OR Mobile Data, so you'll need to factor that into your calculations.

We did consider doing a data bolt-on as part of plus, but that part of our service we'd like to keep as simple as possible. We've always preferred anytime data over anything time based that makes it more complicated for clients.

I'm not sure I fully understand the idea though. Are you talking about a daily allocation package, without rollover? It's an interesting idea, but I think it would be very complicated for client's to manage. We'd then have a day to day agreement on one product where we prefer to work on month to month products. It's an interesting idea though, I'm sure it's got some wheels turning somewhere :)

The product has not been withdrawn and I'm fairly sure that eventually we'll be able to launch. The launch has just been delayed and we want to survey clients to find out if they are happy for us to launch now or at a later date.

This is a great product, and I think when the network is running well, most people will see the value in it, whether they opt for it or not personally.
 
I'd be OK with paying an extra R50 a month for my double ADSL data, not R99. I'm on the 50+50 deal and it works for me. Cellular stuff is of no use to me since I use Telkom Mobile and my iPad is wifi only.

Remember that you get all the other stuff. So if it's cheaper for you to upgrade to get more data, that's cool. But I think many people would like to get all or most of the benefits for only R99 (if that ends up being the final price)
 
It means a 50% increase in what I am paying now. Might be worth it for those on larger packages, but not for me. I'll just have to use less data.
 
So they have changed their minds about this. BETTER BE FOR GOOD and keep the double data coming
