I am not sure of their cancellation policy. But the ISP can release the line with Openserve immediately, and you can ask for that.
Once the line is released, we are then able to place a receive ownership order with Openserve, which can take up to 48 hours to complete. During that time, we will provide a test account to use.

When an Openserve line is released from an ISP, the service number {Bnumber} is moved to the holding pool for up to 14 days, which means the line is still active and can be used as long as you have the correct PPPoE credentials. An order needs to be placed within 14 days before the Bnumber is recycled or ceased.

Do you have space to add more to your smokeping setup? Those IP's are anycast dns servers which go to the regional-specific DNS. In your case CPT. Can you add the CPT servers and see if they experience the same wobble?

Hi.
Please add a smokeping directed to your default gateway, so we can see that there is any correlation between possible drops to your default gateway and our DNS server. We do not conduct maintenance on our DNS servers around that time.

One of the NOC Team members will run tests on our servers tonight.

I've been experiencing the same issue in Mountain View Pretoria,
have gbps line with Afrihost through MetroFiber, not even getting 40mbps these last couple of nights

The usual. Three dns disconnects today so far.

1st one about 10 minutes.
Second about 5

Current having a third on 2 minutes.

Ferndale area.

Any updates regarding this never ending issue. It's extremely annoying.

It's back up now.
Can you guys not see any events happening in the area that could explain this issue. It's virtually every single day and it just seems like whatever the issue is, it should be quick and easy to resolve.
Afterall, vumatel and darkfibre africa are "worth more than telkom now".
They must spend that effing money and keep my internet working.

It shouldn't be a problem, unless you are experiencing issues currently.

There is some civil work going on next to Teraco Isando. It sliced through some backhaul cables to Teraco.

Frogfoot is also affected as well as DFA.
