Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread Part 2

@Afrigirl
If it helps, our entire estate goes down as well, multiple different ISP's all connected via vumatel.

Nick and I are on different streets in ferndale as well.
So definitely an issue with vumatels infrastructure this side.
By chance, it did seem to return faster than normal, seeing as we'll definitely continue to disconnect.. ill report back if it's consistently for less time

45ms to jhb again from dbn seems to be every evening now. Packet loss aswell.

Tonight has been rather bad with Afrihost

45ms ping to JHB , YouTube buffering quite bad here in Durban had to load at 720p to stop buffering on a 100/100 line

Personally past few months haven’t noticed anything besides these previous two weeks

Netflix streams perfect , plex server in Jhb takes longer YouTube buffers (basically anything in Jhb is slower )

I recently transitioned my internet service to Afrihost, and the migration process took place on Sunday. Initially, everything seemed to be working smoothly, as I had internet access for most of that day. However, since then, I've been faced with a persistent issue of no connectivity. Regrettably, the support team at Afrihost has been unable to assist me in resolving this problem, leaving me in a state of frustration.

In an effort to regain my internet access and continue my work, I've requested that Afrihost release my line so that I can seek an alternative service provider. Surprisingly, they have declined my request, citing a binding contract that extends until the 1st of December. This raises a perplexing question: how can they retain the ability to hold me to a contract when they are unable to rectify the service issues I'm experiencing?

At this point, I've reached a stage where I'm willing to pay for two months of service that they haven't been able to provide, just to regain control of my line. The impact of this situation is profound, as I rely on this internet connection to work from home and earn a living. Unfortunately, it seems that Afrihost is indifferent to the difficulties I'm facing.

If anyone in the forum has encountered a similar situation or knows of a way to expedite the release of my line from Afrihost, I would greatly appreciate your insights. I'm at a point where I'm eager to sever ties with this company and find a more reliable internet solution. Your assistance and advice would be greatly appreciated.
