Hi, I'm also feeling this YouTube buffering during the night. It's been happening 3 days now. I thought it was just my device but used my computer and secondary one and it was struggling on 1080p on all my devices. Lower it's fine but not quick enough. Is there any way to test this? Speed tests seems to be fine. Octotel

Yeah the youtube thing is really bad.
Its just got worse. Last night WARP did not seem to help either.

Just came here to let everyone know that I'm having the youtube buffer issues as well. Even a family member asked me about it saying that it buffers on her phone.

Afrihost hosts 10 Google caches in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town to improve streaming with an upgrade still pending delivery from the USA. We are hoping the changes Google will make tonight fix the issue.

The fault has been linked to an outage. Vuma is still investigating.

I don't think I came across YouTube buffering (my family occasionally complains; I think that's because the AX3 is such a weak router) but I tested it with mtr and I got a lot of loss (36%).

There's no loss on that trace, just some dropped ICMP packets from a few of the hops. Loss would carry through to the final hop.

Yes it's a problem they know about. I do believe Google was contacted but perhaps a rep will come in and provide an update soon
