Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread Part 2

Thank you for your response. My connection keeps randomly disconnecting, which seems to occur only at night while I’m playing online games. It’s frustrating because the game freezes, and I end up losing everything when the connection drops.

What could be causing these random disconnections? All the lights on my ONT box remain green.

Just submitted another ticket which is one of thousands CEW-708-65971

@AfriNatic Do you remember helping me some time ago with a similar problem? The changed something to fix it last time.

Hi.

May I please have the FSAN of the new ONT.

Hi,

Is the Eassy cable down? Been on around 240ms ping from PE to AWS Middle East (me-south-1) since around 25 October

It's not down. I think it's a AWS issue. We logged a ticket with them Monday to see if they are willing to divulge what the issue is.

Thank you for reporting, hopefully they get it resolved soon, services hosted in the MEA AWS region have been suffering from this high latency for a while now.

Any news on the Vuma outage in KZN?

Also, is there any planned black friday fibre deals on Openserve or Vuma?

Nothing yet.
Also, I have a Vuma line and have the AX3 router but will sign up for an openserve line and receive the TP-Link EX511 router
Is it possible to use the Tp-Link on my home vuma line and use the AX3 on the openserve ? How would I go about doing this

Want to sign up for an iopenserve line for a new installation but would'nt want to lose out on a promo if applicable
Our fibre sign up promo is still available, free installation, free router you are only charged for the delivery fee.

Yes, you can use the router with any of your line. You need to ensure that when signing up for the Openserve line, you add the router to your order.

Perfect, the Tp-link says in the manual that it has a usb port, can you confirm if it has one?

Thanks

And like clock work on day 3 the line just dies between 7-8pm when it worked the entire day

@Afrigirl , the Vuma issues have been going on for almost 4 days now

What is the feedback

Is the line still down?
What I've noticed is on other ISPs (Webafrica, MWEB and CISP) , my area fault is marked as resolved and everything is okay but the Afrihost page still shows an issue and I am still down?

Is there no feedback on day 4 with Vuma?
