Down in my area in KZN too - Marina Beach. Since yesterday only getting intermittent connection.

If it's every ISP that is down, maybe it's not Afrihost that is the problem and maybe the FNO

it's Openserve - our backups links on different ISPs (but on Openserve) all go down at the same time, but Afrihost has the influence to do something, not us

What happens in these situations where there isn't load shedding for extended periods of time is typically batteries are kaput and they dont know until there is a failure.

So I imagine Openserve will replace and you will probably be OK again.

All they can do is escalate which they have, they don't have direct influence with the FNO's.
Just because Afrihost says their is a problem doesn't mean Openserve is going to investigate or even do anything.
Besides with something as big as all ISP's going down, they would have been on it within the hour
