Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread Part 2

I'm experiencing slower than usual speeds on Openserve today. In Little Falls. Anyone else with problems? It's not drastic, just 50 to 60 Mbps slower than what it's supposed to be.

How is the connection now?

What is this "Fibre to the Room" thing that Openserve is advertising?
Not sure if I'm reading it correct but just seems like a branded wifi mesh system, much like Google Nest Wifi Pro.
Will possibly offering installation

Edit

looking at the wording on the below Huawei advert and the wording in the Openserve Media Kit.
looks to be the product on offer.

Hi anything wrong with the network perhaps or is just me :X3: ?

My side everything is slow on vuma trenced CPT. Traceroutes shows no loss or high pings and speed tests is perfect. Only thing i can see is the ips takes a while before they resolve to names. On Pingplotter they only getting resolved at around the 10th count usually it was instant. I have changed DNS settings nothing makes a difference.

I never gotten this screen before also lol

Try using 9.9.9.9 and 1.1.1.2 as the DNS's? I never use the ISP's default.

Still the same tried all the known ips. Nothing changed my side was fine yesterday. Even struggling to get on here.

That was the weird thing everything showed no loss or high pings all normal like always. Speedtests was also fine. Just browsing that was affected and getting ips to resolve in cmd and pingplotter and that waiting for DNS popup.

I did not change anything except yesterday trying others DNS ips to see if it would help but did not so i just left my old config. @Afrigirl Just got home and everything is back to normal. So no idea what happened :X3:

Did you try turning everything off and on again?

Hi @AfriNatic @Afrigirl

The whole of december holidays i had this issue last year everyday into early january 19:00PM To 23:00PM with Openserve not even responding. There where even days it started from 13:00PM until 23:00PM
This year from 29th of april to 2nd of May same during long weekend holiday 19H00PM to 23H00PM.
Now since June 26th Holidays same issue. 19H00PM To 23H00PM

From 5 Ping normal ping to 65 Ping tonight. And 300Meg Download Speeds to lower speeds. Packet Loss.
Can't game on Ping this Internationally.

I even sent you all the tests in DM and to the Openserve tech that came out last year.

And this years tests If you want to re check up until now.

So nothing was clearly done by Openserve to resolve the congestion in my area during holidays of the MTU Link.
If thats even whats causing it?

Did they do the tests after holidays when it was stable and saw nothing wrong?

I still don't understand how this is possible on a fiber connection ping is meant to be low.

Seems like i might have to downgrade my package because christmas holidays is going to be hell again?

Thanks
