Please share screenshots of the speedtests results and the Ticket ID

Slow internet connection again. WTF is going on why do I keep getting slow internet every week?

What is causing this to keep happening? Must I move to another ISP?

Please fix your network speed permanently!!

The speed is fixed now after contacting support and they reset something and I rebooted the ONT Fiber box. Why does this slow speed keep happening every week? It is a problem on your side that needs to be fixed. Why has nothing been done to fix it?

Your first hop (whether its your router or ONT) is problematic your first hop should be like 1ms, so rebooting everything is probably just resetting everything. If its your router your connected to it looks like a problem with the router/ethernet cable and if you using Wifi you got serious congestion

Thanks. I reboot the ONT and it does not fix the problem. Only once I have contacted Afrihost Support and they tell me to reboot and only then the speed is fixed. I don't use WiFi.

I was told: "It must be an issue on the fibre provider's side. as sometimes the exchange can't the requested load from clients in the area."

If that pingplotter is taken directly connected to your ONT then yeah that fibre network is heavily congested. My router and first 3 hops are all under 1ms yours is 100+ and carrying through

If it is directly from the ONT, it wouldn't have an internal IP like that, that's the same internal IP as Afrihosts router they supply, so I think that is from the router, I could be wrong though
Attached a screenshot of mine straight from the ONT, check first IP

Im having the same issue... since I upgraded my fibre to 100mbps I'm only getting half the download speed... support refreshed the line and I got the full speed... soon after that the speed returned to half the speed... fault reported to Openserve and Im still waiting for it to be resolved... Im very disappointed from the Afrihost support, no care in the world to resolve the issue

If the fault has been reported to Openserve, not much else Afrihost can do as Openserve are the only ones who can resolve the issue

Yea I assumed it was the router since it had a general gateway IP so the router looks like its freaking out... That's why I mentioned WiFi as well since the response time from the router is horrible and the latency carries through. So the rebooting of the router obviously calms the router down and that's why things run fine then

Even on WiFi, 150 ping is crazy, so honestly think they should try swapping router out

From Monday until Today we've been offline for 4 days. Seems like we're going for a total internet free long weekend. Bought to you by Afrihost/Vumatel.

No reimbursement for the data I have to buy and no credit for the days we've been offline. It's not just this month, but the whole year.

Also, why did it take me an hour and 20 minutes just to get one of your Whatsapp support reps to log an issue that has been recurring EVERY single month for the last year?
