Just some feedback, so after 10 days without internet I can confirm I am up and running with Afrihost. The whole process would have been much easier if Telkom did not cancel my fibre line, so below is a breakdown of events:
02/09/2019: Telkom services ended.
02/09/2019 to 04/09/2019: Waiting for line to be released by Telkom in order for Afrihost to migrate.
04/09/2019: Realised fibre line was cancelled and not in holding pool, thus can't be migrated. This was a frustrating period as Afrihost support and Telkom support was not helpful in identifying this issue. It took a lot of calls by myself to figure this out and kick of a "new line / reactivation" process by Afrihost to Openserve.
04/09/2019 - 10/09/2019: Waiting for Openserve to reactive my fibre line. Yet another frustrating period as feedback on progress was not forthcoming and had to be initiated by me all the time.
10/09/2019: Openserve activated my B number again at around 10:00 in the morning (support team was at my house to do this).
11/09/2019: At around 13:00 I was informed my migration was complete and active.
In total this took 10 days instead of 2 due to Telkom's error. Not sure how I could have avoided this as the instructions to them was pretty clear.
However, many thanks to
@AfriMan and the Critical Care team for resolving the issue! From a customer care perspective my only advise would be is more proactive feedback from your side on any progress made as this was a very frustrating process.
