Can I make a suggestion. Can all tests you ask for EU latency be done to one IP for simplicity. I would suggest to use the official blizzard IP :185.60.112.157 since it demonstrates the routing problem the best.

I know that its not the only ip range that we have a problem with. But if everybody can use that and we can fix the problem to that IP the rest will follow.

Anyways its just an idea :)

3 Weeks and migration still not complete

Speed upgrade held up due to this

How long does 1 have to nag Afrihost to attend to an issue?

Hypothetically speaking, lets say your hardware/software that is used to control a users speed is turned off or set to unlimited, what would be the absolute possible speed one would reach?

Surely Gian's and other higher ups at Afrihost accounts is set to this unrestricted speed.

I believe that the limit would be 1gbps, all things equal. It would be impossible to validate this thesis. :laugh:
 
I've been looking into different VPNs. Seems the go-to for SA is ExpressVPN and NordVPN.

Can anyone vouch for which is 'better'?

Go for Express if you intend to use it for gaming. NordVPN tends to temporarily drop the connection at random times, at least thats my experience on apex legends e.g. i'll be playing then everything freezes briefly then it goes back to normal. I don't know if this is just an issue with their servers or if its something to do with AH.

This eu routing seems like such an easy fix because in most cases its just a matter of using a WACS route instead of EASSy. A difference of +40ms~ (from cape town) is not insignificant in my book, i don't understand how liquid can't see the benefit of taking the shorter path in the worst cases of this routing.

Like I said earlier in the thread - if Liquid's business model is cheap bandwidth and not performance/latency, they likely won't acknowledge any issue.

if they can stop it going to amsterdam and rather france it will be fixed imo.

the problem how i see it isn't how it gets to uk, but after that to eu, seems to go to amsterdam, why not france?
edit: or it goes to france then amsterdam then back to france.
