So are Liquid also getting hit by the ddos?

Well Liquid telecoms is the target so makes sense for Afrihost to move transit providers because it's not their IP ranges being targeted. Instantly resolves the issues. If like in the cool ideas case it's your IP ranges being targeted then changing transit providers won't fix anything.

Pretty please Afrihost keep the current routes with Telkom.....

@luckystrike

Latency to EU dropped significantly.

Before with Liquid Telecoms

Now with Telkom/HE

can you check wa and axxess? here wondering if it's echo that changed or ah that dropped echo?

Probably Echo because Afrihost gets their capacity from them but I get a feeling that EchoSP is actually Afrihost. That said here is trace of Webafrica.

WA also changed.

However, if you check inbound through something like https://eu-looking-glass.battle.net you will notice the return traffic is still through Liquid. Only outbound traffic changed this morning.

Hey @AfriMan

Support ticket MOY-853-75637 submitted this morning.

Not a wizard when it comes to tracerts etc. Nor do I know what to expect the ping to be from P.E. but have to switch back to my VDSL line to be able to game with better ping than what I am getting on (pure)fibre 100/100.

Not to mention speeds are sporadic. Wondering if you could weigh in when you get a chance.

@AfriMan I am still no closer to a reason as to why my latency and speeds are all over the place....

In a perfect world I would have been able to cancel my VDSL line with Telkom before the 25th and not have to double pay for internet.

Please can you let me know how long I need to wait to get an answer? I know I am one out of many clients, but any sort of indication would be great.

Regards
Cavill

Anyone know how to disable IPv6 on these d-link DIR-825 routers (got a russian RevR1 one)? Trying to help my uncle remotely; his DVR keeps getting an IPv6 IP and not an IPv4 and I don't want to have to drive over there to give it a fixed ip..

Hey Cavill

Sounds like we will need to log a fault with you with the provider. Please PM me so we can get this rolling :(
