Anyone know how to disable IPv6 on these d-link DIR-825 routers (got a russian RevR1 one)? Trying to help my uncle remotely; his DVR keeps getting an IPv6 IP and not an IPv4 and I don't want to have to drive over there to give it a fixed ip..

Should be simple. Can you drop me a PM, so I can send you step by step instructions?

TeamViewer in and give it a static IP via IP reservation on the MAC.

They dropped liquid on all routes. Telkom transit to EU via Level 3 it seems.

Yesterday things were so good but today Telkom decided to take the traffic all over EU first.....

Yesterday it was JHB> Mtunzini> France > Netherlands

Today it's JHB> Mtunzini> France> Germany> Netherlands

Cogent then peering with Level 3 in Germany then off to Amsterdam..... Sigh

Good investment when DDOS happens on ISP's? 3 years expiry date not bad at all...

You can, teamview into his laptop, gain access to the router, see the DHCP table.

Then add it.

Already got access to the router, router was rebooted and the DVR didn't re-register.. I'll be going by his place this weekend so will just go sort it out then, not going to continue this "please switch it off and on again" :cautious:

Seems like we're having some issues at our data centre which might affect some internet services. Our NOC team are busy working to clear this up urgently.
Thanks, your Whatsapp support told me, that there is no problem at all. Not very helpful ...

Was same yesterday morning at least, and problematic since weekend, but that may have been direct consequence of DDoS.

This is silly for a 120 MB file via wget on a 100Mb/s line:

10.98M 2.01KB/s eta 2h 36m

thanks, Ian

Generally the two wouldn't affect each other, not sure why it is affecting international transit. But our guys are definitely aware and working on it.

@AfriMan I assume Afrihost has a little pull with these D-link routers - Duckdns does not work on them

Nov 27 16:56:32 inadyn[1499]: Sending IP# update to DDNS server, connecting to duckdns.org(35.167.241.52:80)
Nov 27 16:56:33 inadyn[1499]: Fatal error in DDNS server response:

@AfriMan Speed is buggered to international.
