It was what I expected. During peak time they filter ICMP not sure if it's intentional or the router software to reduce the load.
Well, if it is the router doing it then the router is under spec. My personal opinion is that anyone who filters ICMP needs to be fired.
BTW: This is right now, not peak time.

So have all the Afrihost reps disappeared?

Pure fibre was supposed to be uncapped and unshaped but now its unbearable

Not sure what Afrihost did but it seems to be working again.

Streaming in 4K at the moment and no issues. Touch wood.

If I was the only one in recent posts experiencing this, then I would say yes but looks like other people were also affected. I see @Vicari0 isn't having issues as well now. Can only be ISP

So a handful of people on a forum mean everyone at Afrihost is affected? Doubtful.
My performance has been fine, Pure Fibre in CPT on 200Mbps.

What can I test?

If I can chime in. I have posted results a while back. But during peak times if you could run cmd and do the whole "ping www.afrihost.com -n 30" and for other sites like news24 or even 8.8.8.8

Between 5 and 10pm I get about 15-30% loss across all tests. Speeds are slow (50/80) on a 100/100 line and then ping is reasonable but a tad higher than normal.

My streaming via 3rd party apps is completely borked. Had to switch to a VPN to get anything to work.

Yeah. Somethings up. I can't access Twitter on afrihost our Fibre.

Just got home a few minutes ago so might have missed it but the trace is looking good now. Downdetector has quite a few reports maybe a twitter node that has gone down or something related seems fine this side.
