The MyBB server is located on the IX backbone while the speedtest servers are hosted in the ISPs own space. MyBB is moe indicative of the user experience.Is there a difference between the MyBB one and the speedtest.co.za ?

Afrihost support is now mirroring their Internet service speeds.
Non-existent.
- I could barely load this forum page.
- SSH connections are timing out.
- POP3 is intermittent.
- Speedtest.net cannot find an "optimal server"
- And worst: packet-loss over the VPN to the office looks like below:

Yes, that's right ... 50% packet-loss most of the time, 100% packet-loss some of the time over VPNs.
If you want to work from home, Afrihost is not the ISP for you. We've been through something similar with Afrihost years ago, but then they clearly communicated the issues and let us know they were working hard on solving the problem. This time 'round ... not so much.
