Please Help. I'm on Openserve and the LAN ports on the ONT are not responding. Tried different cables, routers and ports.... No luck. Called 0800 007268 to report faulty ONT. Telkom saying I must contact Afrihost. Can't get hold of Afrihost
What happens? No Lan 1 light on the ONT but the rest are working?
Did you migrate ISPs? If Yes your Openserve line is likely still in the holding pool.
Power and PON Light on but no light on Lan1 means line is suspended,cancelled or in the holding pool suspended. IF you restart your ONT then you will see your LAN1 light briefly comes on
CORRECT : No Lan 1 light on the ONT but the rest are working
NO I did not migrate ISPs
My Account shows up to date. Nothing happens to LAN 1 during restart
Got my free upgrade on OS just now - 100/50 for the price of 40/20.

Also noticing crappy pings in game
Yes since about 22:30 last night. There was some sort of outage and Telkom rerouted. I'm guessing a reroute between WACS to SAT3 or vice versa. It's still rerouted. Slight increase in latency(London 164ms > 185ms) but speeds should still be good.
Tested local streaming (Plex to a friend) down in CPT, it's awful tonight.

Hey GTtronics, I am really sorry that you are having slow speeds. No issues have been reported or maintenance scheduled. Any improvement ?Good evening. I am having terribly slow download speeds since today in Ballito, KZN.
Is there maintenance around here on the Fibre network perhaps? On Openserve. Should be around 10mb download

Noticed speed issues here (CT N Subs, OS), my parents also commented on a lot of buffering in the past day or two (CT FF deep south) .. don't have the energy to perform 101 speedtests and traceroutes, will just wait it out

I've also been getting very poor international speeds this week (issue started around Tuesday/Wednesday?). Accessing certain sites during the day have been hit and miss (at times it wouldn't let me load MyBB, Google, etc). Strangely I have not experienced any packet loss. Steam, Battle.Net, etc also dropped completely on Wednesday night and pings were erratic on Thursday.
And performance on video conferencing apps during the day have been horrendous (stuttering, latency, defaulting to lowest video quality, etc).
I've attached a few speedtest results. Using Openserve, located in PTA East. 200 down/100 up. I have had no issues with local speeds thus far.

Hi Icemanbrfc, can you confirm the fibre network provider in his area? Also, is he in a free standing house or a complex?
@ Any AH rep - is there any further confirmation of a fibre cancellation/migration to another ISP beyond the client zone status saying the cancellation is effective 2020-05-31? Can I trust the line will be released on 1 June or do I need to confirm with someone?
