My speeds are atrocious again. Keeps on happening every night from 19h00 onwards. Openserve fibre line - suppose to be 8Mb line:

That is dslam congestion unfortunately. You can test that by trying another ISP account and you will see that the results are the same.

Save those tests and log a line fault and see where that gets you.

Looks pretty good to bras just means no congestion on the OLT side. Could still be transit congestion to IPC though.
 
Yip, having very similar Openserve issues here. It started earlier this week for me.

The connection itself has never dropped, but it's performing like a dog. International performance has been very poor.
 
I'm getting intermittent loss on 169-1-21-1.ip.afrihost.co.za today, making gaming incredibly frustrating.

I wish AfriMan was still here so this could even get looked at by the right people, but the AH reps here are now just cut-n-paste jockeys so no chance of that. Fully expect a reply on Monday next week asking if I'm still having issues and to run a speedtest on a LAN connection.
 
I'm battling with the most mundane of tasks here, trying to configure my Cybersmart email address in Outlook 2019!! What would the outgoing settings be? I'm assuming smtp.afrihost.co.za, port unchanged (25), encryption method none (I've tried the other options), require logon using secure password authentications (SPA) - unticked... what am I missing here?

Setting it up as POP and get 'We couldn't connect to the outgoing (SMTP) server. None of the authentication methods supported by Outlook are supported by your server".

smtp.afrihost.com should not require authentication if you are using it from an Afrihost connection. If that is failing have you tried Cybersmart smpt server but with authentication?

Use your domains smtp? mail.domain.co.za usually?

.com or .co.za? smtp.afrihost.co.za isn't it? I did try smtp.cybesmart.co.za as well yes... Tried multiple combinations... I'm a bit perplexed....
