Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread

Thank you for the response.
Because MetroFibre works like this, should they get the cancellation the moment Afrihost receives it? I understand it might be difficult to handle each FNO differently.

Is there no certain standards followed by all Fibre Infrastructure operators and service providers?

So MetroFibre Networks have their procedure on releasing lines.

When a cancellation is loaded the line is still with the ISP for another 30 days after the cancellation is loaded. For a forced or immediate cancellation the new ISP needs to place an repair order with Metro FIbre Networks. MFN will then know what do to and activate the line for the new ISP.

Because of this process the address will not show on the portal and most ISPs will just say contact the previous ISP to have the line release.

I hope this clarifies it a bit.

Hello - I am out of the loop with any recent developments.

Anyway...
We were on a 10/5 Fiber package but it seems we were upgraded to 15/15 - Is this normal? What happened here?
My monthly bill has also increased

Our line is with Octotel

Hi,

So Octotel has made some changes to their pricing and service speeds they are offering. We sent a communication in August about these changes. These changes came into effect on the 1st of September.

Afrihost just went down in our complex. Can't get hold of them in the phone and I wasn't aware they did appliance repairs.
