Queenswood is actually in the Moot area, which is more central. About 7kms or so to my north. PTA North is other side of the Magalies, 20km north of me...... Just a bit of geography fyi :D

Okay fair enough :D

Yes but not related to what you experienced. You still having issues or is it sorted now?

I also had an outage around the same time in Pta (Equestria)
and a friend of mine in Faerie Glen did too a the same time.

We got a few complaints about an outage although I do not see anything confirmed from our Noc team.

I work from home and have not noticed the outage on Openserve fibre so it might have been an area or provider specific outage. Will try to get some info from Noc of any reports.

Not sure if provider specific. I'm on MFN and the friend is on OS.
Don't know if that helps you at all.

Extremely poor performance on the Openserve backbone in the Sunset Beach area of Cape Town.

It is reminiscent of a routing or DNS issue.

Using Google DNS.

Any similar reports elsewhere?

I see some reports of DNS issues.

Let me see if Noc have any info for us.

FrogFoot. I just changed my connection properties to Google DNS and everything back to normal

Can you do a nslookup mybroadband.co.za 169.1.1.1 for me?

EDIT: The issue should be resolved. Noc has moved traffic in CPT to a secondary route. The secondary route might have caused some issues with DNS they are investigating.

Hi everyone,

We are still working on the issue and the outage is still persisting. Once I have feedback I will post it here.

We are experiencing a very large number of calls and queue times have exceeded 1 hour. The teams are working hard to get to everyone as soon as possible.
