When does this go live for current clients on 100/50? :D

Openserve did say that it will be a phased approach. We are expecting that the portal will be changed on the 1st and then existing lines to be upgraded in the month of March.

I can't tell you how long but I would imagine they will start with certain speeds and areas as a sudden increase might cause issues.

I only ask because I've been invoiced for 100/50 at R1117 instead of R917 due on the 1st of March

Your pricing will be the same but you will be on a 200/100 link. You can always downgrade if 100/50 is enough for you to save a couple of hundred monthly.

Please note that we are aware of Openserve lines going down. Openserve is busy upgrading lines and this is causing the lines to go down.

If anyone is down please let me know so I can assist.

Interesting. My Vumatel line is giving issues as of about about 30 minutes ago.

I am getting redirected to a page that says:

"You should connect to this facility from your Afrihost fibre connection. Your IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is not listed as a fibre IP address that requires activation."

"Status: This IP is not listed as part of our fibre network that requires activation."

Phone is saying I must "sign-in" on my wifi

Can you send me a pm with your clientzone email so I can assist. This might be a user mapping issue.

was this related to the regrades? starting early?

Is there any intent from Vumatel to follow price reductions as Openserve are doing (refer to article on MyBroadband this morning)? It feels a bit like Vumatel is becoming the next Telkom keeping at ransom because we don't have another choice...

Unfortunately not at this time.

Vuma has discontinued the 10/2 and 20/2 packages and clients are going to be migrated to the 10/10 and 20/20 package respectively which is priced more unfortunately.

We are in the process of finalizing communication emails to clients which would be sent out soon.

I moved from Openserve (Telkom) aerial to Vuma (Afrihost) trenched more than a year ago.
Maybe I should move back to Openserve... pricing is much better.

Depending on what speeds the Openserve pricing is very competitive now.

Yes you should. Maybe if enough people that have a choice do it, it will force vuma to react helping us plebs out who don't have a choice.

By the looks of it everyone has been upgraded already including DSL.

We will finalize the changes this weekend and everyone should start seeing the new speeds from the 1st of March.
Do we need to restart the Router and ONT for the upgrade speed to take effect?

No change in line speed here...
I am pending downgrade - not sure if that has anything to do with it.
