I had about 50% packet loss this morning but support fixed it. Still don't know what caused it.

Morning all.

We have ran a script yesterday to regrade all Vuma clients to the correct line speeds. This has caused a very big order order load on the Vumatel system and as a result Vuma started allocating new IPs before releasing old IPs depleting our IP pools very quickly.

Support has been manually allocating IPs to clients experiencing issues. If you are still experiencing issues please let me know so I can have a look for you.
All seems to be working now thanks!

@AfriNatic Somebody at Afrihost changed something because I am getting 295-330Mbps download on PSN all of a sudden :thumbsup:

International upload is still slow but the PSN issue seems to be resolved

Hey there. Taking a long shot here. We've had no internet access over wifi all day. Plugging into the Fibre box (Vumatel) gives access, but that's not going to help much. I've logged a support ticket, and had at least 6 Afrihost consultants looking at it through the day, with no resolution. The last guy just said that they have a number of clients with the same issue. Is this related to your post?

Is could be.

Have you done the activation again?

Please visit login.afrihost.com from the connection and activate again as you might have gotten a new IP address.

Did it, re-activated it. Restarted everything. Still no good on wifi though. No internet.

That is good news.

Thanks for letting me know. How is the international speeds?

International varies so much. Doesn’t Afrihost also accelerate international traffic like CISP?

Hello, hoping you can help, we currently make use of your fibre service, looking to move to a new place... what is the process involved in moving Fibre to a new address? Do we take the ONT etc? Cost? Process?

We have a relocation button in clientzone but essentially that still is a cancellation and anew signup. The relocation button will do the work for you where it will cancel the current line and signup for a new line at the new location.

If the new location does not have an existing installation then a new install must be selected. IF it's a provider we charge installation for then the installation fee will apply.

Please do not remove the ONT from your current installation as the ONT remains the property of the FNO. You may take the router we supplied you with to the new location.

What happens if the new location fibre network is still under construction?
