Indeed. There is a bunch of notices for certain parts of CT affected by the same ME fibre break. Not all of Western Cape is affected and we have sent SMS to all the clients in the affected areas only.

Is there an ETR for this outage?

Just had some very slow speeds and then also no wifi at all for a minute.

It's unlikely. When the connection drop does the ONT indicate LOS light or is it just pppoe dropping?

The fault has been resolved as of 10pm last night as far as I can see.

I don't think jitter is that concerning unless latency is very high. Not sure how high the jitter was but if you can send a trace route we can examine it and determine if it's bad.

I also noticed that last night when RD started buffering, high ping and packet loss to jhb. Lasted maybe an hour. Luckily RD has cloudflare option which is local to dbn.

I am seeing the same loss.

Anything going on with Vuma Villages in Alberton Area. Internet is stables for few mins then unusable for a long time.

Sorry for the late reply. I was off sick yesterday.

There was a brief issue with our DUR > JHB NLD that caused the losses.
