Last night my internet was super slow/ down
This morning it was fine, but didn't do proper tests

My review of recent dealings with Afrihost: AVOID /end
I have to differ. While I have experienced more issues on Afrihost than I did back on Cool Ideas the support I received is by far the best support I experienced thus far since my first dial-up internet days.

I did not know that, and sure I did not use it all the time, but I am glad they look after their customers.

Hi,

I'm sorry you feel this way. As explained via pm we are not just pointing fingers. It's unfortunate that your previous ISP has lied to you causing the frustration. Our order will activate at midnight tonight due to your previous ISP selecting a termination date of 01/01/2022 instead of 31/12/2021. This has caused the line to be active with them still today. This is a common mistake when ISPs use the Vuma Portal.

Since it's weekend there is limited support we can offer in terms of escalating to Vumatel as it's a network freeze period for the festive period and a weekend.

Below is the screenshot of when the current ISP will terminate and when our service activation order will activate.

I am seeing the same loss.

Anything going on with Vuma Villages in Alberton Area. Internet is stables for few mins then unusable for a long time.

Also been experiencing intermittent packet loss issues on Vuma Villages

Stable for a couple of hours and then extreme packet loss for 30-45 mins

Lovely start to the day!! It is much longer than what pingplotter is showing. Issue started around 7:30am.

Vuma Villages in Alberton seems to be down as well

Edit: Back up now, but the packet loss still seems to continue

All of you fine chaps dissing Afrihost - stop.

They do all they can do and go the extra mile for their customers in most instances. I've been with them since 2012 and they were very polite and managed to sort out issues very quick, or provide explanations and times if there was a delay. Being polite will always help you more.
