I switched from Edge to Chrome, and the upload speed is substantially better, thanks for the tip.Did you try to use another browser?
When downloading via SFTP - I seem to max the download at around 60mbit, however, uploads hit around 130mbit.
Are there currently issues with international capacity? I saw in an earlier thread you mentioned evenings only, but this is happening now.
My international is no faster outside peak hours either. It's slow all the time.Currently only between around 6pm to 10pm we notice slight increase in latency. Currently the speeds to interntional is as expected.

Seems to be a general international thing, yeah. International download speeds can be anywhere from 60 to 450Mbps depending on the speed test server, but upload speeds are consistently poor with any of them. Typically 100-150Mbps.Hi,
Is it slow to all destinations?

Exactly like this one:

Maybe not necessarily an Afrihost routing issue, but the lack of international speed is disappointing. I'm used to receiving international speed test results that more reasonably align with 500/250Mbps.
Hey @AfriGuy @AfriNatic !
I'm sorry if I was a bit fiery the other week. This issue has driven me mad, but I realize that it ain't you guys but rather Vumatel.
I'm still struggling with the packet loss issue on my fibre line. The Fibre Optics team requested some tests from me on Wednesday last week. I connected myself to the ONT and submitted everything as requested. I was contacted today via a phone call to say that Vumatel rejected my tests as "there is no proof they were conducted while connected directly to the Fibre ONT"
I've resubmitted the tests - this time including my taskbar in the photo - and also sent a photo of the laptop plugged into the ONT itself.
The ticket is #IOS-478-77728.
Is there anything you could do to escalate this back to Vumatel, and any hope of getting a technician out to my place?
Thank you again for all the assistance. I appreciate it a lot.
Would there be any reason im getting 1mb upload on a 50/50 atm ?
Both. Tried Firefox and Chrome and tons of other applications. Issue present on all my devices. Is this on local and international? Have you tried using another browser?
You are a legend. Thank you!Hi,
I have added all the tests to a word document as requested by Vumatel and logged a ticket with them again. ISP-710046

Response from the ticket logged WRT packet loss to EU servers:
So the above feels a lot like "not our problem you are on your own" but just said in a nice way.
Tonight is kaka again.
