Afrihost Uncapped DSL Feedback

Hey there. Our Accounts Department has committed to refunding. I can assure you that they are on top of this. I'm sorry that this has taken so long, snavem.

Its now 7 days since I spoke to Joey in your accounts department and I haven't heard from him or had a reply to my email. This takes the total time elapsed on this billing dispute to 6 months.

Sorry to hear about that, snavem. Our accounts department has agreed to a refund amount and will be processing it this month. I'll ask them to touch base with you again tomorrow.

updates from Microsoft are timing out ... updates to my apps on my keep giving a network error ... gaming services like steam also cant connect
 
Torrents hovering around 9.5KB/s (on the dot) on a Business line, really guys?


Hope this doesnt discourage anyone from using AH, they seldom have issues.

Nevermind, im retarded.

Swapped the upload and download rates by mistake.

Made the download rate 10KB/s and the upload rate 200KB/s

Not sure why they list the upload rate first...

Flying now.

Unsurprisingly, 12 days after you wrote this I haven't had a refund and Joey from your accounts department continues to ignore my emails. I am now at > 7 months since I raised this billing issue and all I have received so far are empty words.

My downloads from GitHub are timing out. My torrents are at 2KB/s on a 10Mbps Premium Uncapped account. Local downloads working fine. Afrihost, are you sure everything is ok??

Using my Axxess 1GB account, Torrents back to normal and GitHub downloads flying. You definitely have an issue, AH.

Shaped into the ground, literally.
When I tried to TurboCharge it said I was not being shaped. So what is actually going on here?

Probably time to move to Axxess, yes I know it's the same company but at least they are clear on when you are being shaped and what to expect.

Also cheaper.
Shame Afrihost, to lose a client of 7 years.

Out of interest, which AH package are you on?
 
Premium Uncapped 10Mbps. My line only gets up to 5Mbps.
Oh wow, if it's premium then surely that shouldn't be shaping. And even if they did shape you to half the speed it should still run at the full 5mbs line speed you have
