Yeh. I know about that thread, but that one was for the users that signed up in March, and mostly for 4mb users.
Apparently users that signed up in April cannot get a refund!
Guys
Best way to get a refund is on Hellopeter. Just got a call 5min after posting there. I have a written email now confirming they will refund it
Hey man! What do I need to do on Hellopeter?
Link to a video of you doing a sexy dance in a French maid outfit.
Hi
Well i logged a complaint to ASA and copied afrihost. Lets see what comes of it:
------------------------------------------------------------------
Good day Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa
I would like to lodge a complaint against the ISP known as Afrihost.
Last month they were advertising and selling a product on their website which was a 384 uncapped data account. Nowhere in the terms and conditions did they make mention of any restrictions or thresholds.
I received a communication from them that they have changed the conditions in such a way that the account is unusable, with a 10GB data limit. This was done without my prior consent and all communication for a refund has fallen on deaf ears.
This has been the experience of many user on the mybroadband.co.za forums and I would like to lodge an official complaint

So my friend just told me his friend who's on Afrihost got an email, asked to explain what he was downloading legally or they will close his account? I can not confirm the validity of this story but just think it's interesting to let you guys know. That person is apparently on 30 or 60gigs.
I'm going to go out on a limb and call this complete, utter and unfounded hearsay.
That's why I said I can not confirm how true this is as it's what I was told.
there is another disturbing trend I noticed - my uncapped keeps on dropping and reconnecting - couple of times per hour - thought it might be with the line so I swapped to my normal capped - not a single drop in 4 hours and counting

I have now canceled 15 accounts from Afrihost. Well, all 15 people I directed to Afrihost have now canceled their accounts with Afrihost. Actually that makes it 16 accounts if I count mine. Most of us moved to the axxess express + account. I sign up 5 days ago with them and already downloaded around 50 gigs.
Afrihost really pulled a number on us!
At the end of the day, they might have pulled a number on themselves.
