I am really starting to get fed up with my 4MB uncapped from Afrihost. I moved over from a 20GB capped account to the Uncapped line a few months ago. Everything was fine, but now I am being throttled into the ground.[URL=http://www.speedtest.net]

The line is being used at my school. This means that we peak at about 25-28 GB per month, maybe slightly more if I do updates more frequently. The line is ONLY used during the day, never at night except for the odd user logging on after hours, and there are NO programs downloading on a permanent basis, only browsing, updates, e-mail, etc. I think it is ridiculous for my account to be throttled during the day seeing as it is only used during the day. Can't Afrihost look at usage statistics and figure this out?
At this speed I can just as well go down to a 384 account and save the school half their monthly fee!!!! The whole idea behind getting a 4MB line was to be able to get as many students onto the internet simultaneously as possible. We have a lot of kids that don't have access to a computer or the internet at home, this is the only place where they can do this. We have been busy with projects for the last 2 weeks, but now the internet is at stages unusable when more than 5 of them log on! I used to be able to log on almost a whole class of 30-35 and the internet was still usable, slow but usable.
What should I do? Move to another ISP? I am thinking of going to their 30GB capped account for R570. But this is a problem for me from a logistical point of view at this stage. So I guess I'll just have to sit with a useless internet connection for the rest of the year, until I can change next year. And that also basically defeats the object of having an uncapped account......
