Anti rape pledge at schools

Usual government response to situations like this pandemic of rape we've had for a long time:

Something must be done!
This is something.
Therefore this must be done!

No, you're wrong. If his problem was that it's a forced thing, then he would have had a problem with the entire pledge, as it's all a forced thing. He specifically highlighted the rape statement, however, indicating that he doesn't have a problem with the rest of the pledge being 'forced', just the part about pledging not to rape, which is a bit :wtf:

Perhaps. But, I can highlight just one part of a pledge which I particularly don't like. And besides even one part, can spoil the whole thing.

BTW do we now have a pledge of allegiance in schools?

Au contraire VJB, some of us parents actually do take responsibility. We make sure to raise responsible adults, not irresponsible brats intent on destroying themselves and the world. Unfortunatley, the proper raising of my kids is where it stops for me .. yours is your own responsibility.
 
If mindless recitation is the best schools can come up with in regards to educating their students in such a serious matter then I worry about the future.

Ineffective and idiotic, but I'm sure if gave some administrator a warm fuzzy feeling that they've now done their job.

What I find most hilarious is these people now wearing they black shirts to say "I don't support rape"...as if everyone else that isn't wearing a black shirt is supporting rape.

It's a retarded campaign reaching the wrong people.

Not to shoot through toilet doors
Not to drive a taxi like I own the road
Not to blow up ATMS
Not to invade homes and farms and to torture the occupants

also, dont fool yourselves, the kids will be forced to "pledge" as they do not really know any better ...
and the parent telling them not to do it, will only single them out for victimisation .... so as a parent you do not really have much of a recourse ... yet another way the cancer gov is eroding our rights
