Anyone else having issues with 8ta atm?

I've been having terrible throughput here far Pretoria-East.

I have several 8ta contracts, about 5 on the property where I am, all the modems used to get AT LEAST 10 mbps, and excellent latency.

The last week or two, sites takes up to a minute to respond to DNS requests, and most of the time the site loading won't complete.

Average signal is about 75% constant HSDPA.

Two modems are connected to bidirectional antennas, and they too are battling the last week or two.

I know the issue does not lie with my equipment, and I have LOS to the tower.

I'm struggling in Pretoria East as well (Garsfontein), since last Friday I reckon it's been worse. Have reported it and got a reference number. Hoping is gets sorted quickly, as I use 8Ta for my business connection since Telkom ADSL is totally useless in my area too.

Have you reported this issue? If yes, please can you supply us with the reference number(s) and we will address this accordingly. If not, please can you report them via us? We have a template as a guide to provide us the required information when reporting.

My son is student at Tuks and staying in Hatfield close to LC de Villiers stadium. He has terrible signal where he is staying. He says that some days he is extremely lucky and will then get about 30Kbps, most of the time it is about 10-15 Kbps.

yeah i tried that ussd their system was running slow i think ...
but anyways its sorted now and i got the promo bundles

and may i add that the call centre staff is quite helpful and polite.

The technician who was at your premises has advised that all is ok after assisting with the direction your antenna should be pointed in. Please advise if all is ok?

Hi sorry for not getting back to you, it seems like my internet is back to normal now.

Regarding my son's problem with his internet I will have to get all the details from him to complete the template. I just know he is very frustrated with his connection.

No problem. You can email him the template and he can complete and email us if that will be easier for him?
