Anyone else not swooning over the Olympics?

Too many events where SA can't compete professionally kills some of the sparkle.

I'm swooning over some pictures of the volley ball ladies I checked on FB. Don't even know if they're of these Olympics but boy those babies got back:love:

Two golds in swimming, new world records, beating Phelps - rivetting stuff

I think it is fantastic. I am loving it. The drama...the excitement.....the pride when a athlete that has worked so hard brings home a medal for himself...and for us. It really is just beautiful. Copa...if you are not excited...dan is ek jammer om van jou k@k te hoor.

You are not alone...
I am here with you...

Those lyrics are so very creepy, if you take him as a pedo. :erm:

I got the first part, but the latter bits were just gibberish. Are you talking in tongues?

Ok....let me stick to English then. If you guys aint interested...then why post here...hell...why even come to this section. If I aint interested in the cricket...I aint gonna go and post a thread about how lame cricket is in the Cricket World Cup section. I like you Copa...you know I do....but this thread just does not belong here. Rather post it in OT or something where it belongs. Really no need to p*ss on the fire of excitement many of us have here for our boys and girls thats doing us and their country proud. Really not cool. Anyway....just my thoughts on it.

meh...

I think my mind is just too mature to be amazed by people running around, jumping as high as they can, or throwing balls around.
yeah, you might think i'm a pretentious douchebag for saying that, but I truly believe sport is for people who have nothing better to do.

watching people throw a ball around, all weekend?
seriously, get something better to do than watching others play with a ball... you are wasting your life.

and stop saying "we won!" when your team wins. you didn't win... you didn't do anything except sit on a couch drinking beer.
also, wearing rugby gear is dumb, especially if you're unfit with a boep. sports gear is not clothing.

let the flaming begin.

I'm not trying to piss on any fire, I fully understand why people love it. I was actually going to post this in off-topic, but I saw the Olympic thread, and my OCD kind of forced me to post it there. :D

But ya, I kind of agree, was not not trying to deflate anyone!

*edit*

Those guys above me though...

I'm out of here, before things get rough. I think I may have ignited a ****storm. :p

*runs* (hoping for a bronze, at least).
