I have had soooooo amny problems with Vodacom its not even funny.
I don't have R7000 anymore as i spent it on a HD TV - I'm hoping it's close to $199 as Promised, then I will buy it.
I know i said I will pay *anything* a while back, but it's not worth +-R7000 anymore.

I have had soooooo amny problems with Vodacom its not even funny.
Yup, SA companies would never do something special like give away 50 000 mobile devices for free
It took me 3 months to get my new cellphone, AFTER paying for it......
By now it is already old and I feel a bit done in.
Also you give away 50 000 and rape the country for R100 mill over the next year....lol.
This is South Africa, land of telkom, eskom and other "rape the average joe" companies
Please don't tell me Vodacom or any other company is doing anything out of the goodness of their harts.
Why don't they just give us the basics(at a good price) before selling us the bells and whistels?
Ps Im sure most criminals also pay some for of tax and /or give some money away.... doesn't make them anyless criminal

AFAIK it's $199 on contract. Probably a higher-end contract. I think I read somewhere that buying the 8GB version outright costs about $399. Of course I could be wrong

Well since our official rep is keeping the cards VERY close to his chest (and I expect a free iPhone for not letting the cat out of the bag ), I very much doubt that any site that is predicting a date for an SA release has even the slightest clue of when it will actually come out, or what price it will be released at.

Maybe if there were any cards to keep close to the chest, we might have done so
But at this point I truly don't know when we'll see it.
