Aramex global shopper

I registered with AGS on Tuesday.
Placed an order on Amazon Singapore.
So far paid for shipping.
Now awaiting customs.

Where do I see the customs tax? Is there a website ?

My shipping shows " in account 24hrs " , package from Hong Kong

Tomorrow will be 7 days that the package is still at Aramex HK

My last package, December '20 was on a flight within 2 days out of HK

Either there's no flights out or the HK office is in competition with their colleagues in JHB for the worst service possible.
 
We have no SAA, so have to rely on other countries carriers having space for extra cargo. Dubai is how our main hub for all shipments.

Things were different a year ago. Faster, with direct flights. Less people hunkering down and ordering online.

Now, a year later, we live in a grim world where people are dying from something we can't even see. We are in a pandemic world, where shipments containing PPE and vaccines take priority over any other shipments.

Your order of a lemon-scented solar powered portable foot spa can wait an extra couple of days.

Agreed.
Have had 7 orders since 27 Dec (from US, France, UK, Germany), with 4 arriving within 3-4 weeks; to be expected given the current state of affairs. The keyword is patience.

The 3 outstanding deliveries are in progress (Europe), usually updated every few days, but progressing slowly - as of this morning they finally cleared customs (after about 8 days) and will probably be delivered later this week.

Holdups, depending on the country you're ordering from, are at the foreign hubs, Dubai and customs... particularly customs. Europe for example is terrible at the moment, with most parcels going through Czech Republic, then Dubai... long delays. The US is even worse IMO.

Many people seem to expect they order overseas on the 1st and delivery in SA on the 7th or 8th. Unfortunately not going to happen... count on minimum 30 days at best. Even my Amazon stuff is slow, the last order took 22 days ;)

It should get better as things return to "normal", although it will still take quite a while before this happens.
 
My package left HK this am. Should be in JHB latest by Mon.

Then the waiting game starts

I am struggling to purchase a linksys product as they require a US address and US payment.

I used the AGS US address and paypal. Then tried my virtual Shyft $ denominated credit card.

Everytime fails. Could it be the AGS address as Paypal has worked with other US only sites?

My side no complaints. Package from Amazon due March already in Jozi past customs.
So probably arrive Monday with Tuesday latest.
 
Reolink same day picked up by couriers? Usually takes a few days.

So should get here within 2 weeks. Hope its DHL as they quick, efficient and almost real time trackable in usefulness

Others tracking tends to be a bit delayed and/or vague.

I need to order shoes for my daughters up coming birthday, only available in the USA at the moment.

Suggestion on who to use for shipping them?

Sars going nail you on shoes. Ags slow atm 2 to 3 weeks I would budget on
 
Anyone have an idea how to import something at 20+ kg's?

270 usd with nybox, I have big shipments I have bring next week with FedEx nybox, maybe we can work out something. Big shipments work cheaper with FedEx and nybox. Nybox also no sales tax
 
Is there anyway to import fragrances? I know its not allowed, but can this not be done via ship?
