No, it wasn't.

At least western cultures had large ships to transport people around the world over vast oceans. What did the african culture offer at that time?

Progress in many aspects are not wanted by the african culture and this is very unfair towards every single african.

The court just proven that they are happy to stick to what they have.
 
If anything, this should be classified as religious leave. Having your ancestors talk to you in your head is more of a religious/spiritual than a sickness.

Also, if the case is that the ancestors what her to be a sangoma, why the **** did she go back to her old job?
 
Westerners may take sabbatical leave so what is wrong with an African taking a break from work for spiritual reasons ?

Long case.

She was first dismissed because she absconded, CCMA found she did not abscond as her employers knew exactly where she was and she did inform them. CCMA said months unpaid leave.

Employer appealed.

Now the courts ruled in her favour again, why because her employer did not accept her sick note. It's very simple if you allow one religion a privilege you will have to allow all. So if a Muslim can't be fired when he goes carpet bagging, and a jew for this, a mormon for that etc etc, you can't simply disallow a African religion. The dr said she must do a course to rid her of her of the evil spirits and she did. Just like the Dr says you need to do 10 step and all other hocus pocus related nonsense.

The work can say no to those.
She should have asked for unpaid leave. The crux is that we can now all go on unpaid leave, if you told your employer you were going to stay away they can not fire you. All you do is go on one day leave and fax through your letter. Bob's your uncle.

She asked for unpaid leave - not sick leave. The unpaid leave is denied and she suddenly supplies a sick note ?

If she was sick, how could she ask for leave to do a months course ?

And when was she tormented - between the time leave was refused and the time she got a sick note ?

What a load of carp.
 
A woman who was "badly tormented by her ancestors" had to be reinstated in her post, even if she took a month's leave without her employer's permission,

And it's got bugger all to do with culture - there are no witches and ancestors really don't give a sch1t.

But my ancestors are tormenting me with logic and morals, they wont let me succumb to lies, corruption and primitive thinking.
