ATI 5850 with Intel Q9550

Brand might not matter but clocks warranty and cooling do affect performance - and that's what you pay the extra for. The twin frozr 260 could nearly hit 275 speeds and never warmed up beyond 60c. Try doing that with a stock palit 260 or so.

K warranty doesn't affect performance lol.... but ykwim. Not to mention certain brands cherrypick better components, ram etc.

If i could chose between a secondhand ASUS Super duper clocked 5970x2 @ R2k or a new standard lame average Joe clocked Force3D 5970x2 @ R2k, obviously i'd go for the ASUS Super Duper clocked one. So Cerebus makes sense
