He will laugh at you.

HSPA+ technology was never designed for online gaming, and no serious online gamer will ever use it as their weapon of choice.

But you are so desperate (cos TM 3G is cheap) that you demand TM to get it to work like an ADSL connection.

If you want to play online gaming, get an ADSL line.

Great reply kingrob.
All you have done now is proven you know **** and that you have the same mentality as Telkom. 3G has nothing to do with it! Because it works fine on MTN. It is also not about the money as Telkom doesn’t have infrastructure in our complex. Tjop!

Thank you, Raven_007.

I used to be a hardcore online gamer whilst working & living in London for almost five years.

My pingtime was 20ms on BT ADSL, but the guys on Telewest cable with 0ms ping time always won. :crying:

maybe you just play K/\K....:whistling:

Been playing on 3G for ages... maybe lucky..but I have has very few problems playing on 3g... Currently on Afrihost(MTN) LTE... my pings are better and just as constant as my adsl so having a choice now I prefer gaming on "mobile" internet....

This " if you a serious gamer you cant game on 3G" is so Flippen 90's.

Question: I have telkom mobile LTE 50gb homeoffice package. I can play bf4 on a specific server fine, and the next moment it disconnects and the ping does not show on server page, and it gives me the same error: client closed the connection.

Is it possible that the server changes the port number when it changes map???

Hope someone can shed some light on this. Other than that, im very happy with the LTE so far. :)

Yes, it can depend on assigned IP address. Address looks like 41.151.67.229.
When reporting problem make note of first two sections: 41.151.x.x. Connect again and check if it is related to IP range.

Hi Guys,

I read an article on he ea help forums that suggests using port forwarding option on the router that connects to your isp. Has anyone tried this?

I have a huawei b683 and was wanting to try it but i'm not sure how to, don't want to spend the day testing/trying to get it working if someone has already tried it.

Thanks in advance

do not even try doing a port forward as this is not the issue . the issue is that 8ta has not opened all their port or done correct routing tables.. port forward wont help . its all related to 8ta ..

When i use mweb , MTN or Vodacom all is good but with 8ta certain servers dont show pings or they time out on random times. might be ports that change. Not sure as im not a telkom tech:p

Thanks for the reply Nitrate, who do we need to pester to get this sorted out? Looking at the original post this has been an issue for some time.

Come on telkom rep give us a timeframe, i'm very happy with the speeds im getting but this is a major issue as the reason i have internet is to game.

I do not know, this issue has also been around with bf3 and I made a thread about this same issue,

obviously they just dont care or they are really useless,

I am disgusted at the fact that contract users like myself dont get any service . we pay them every month and they ignore us every month,

and the rep on here is useless, he is suppose to follow up on these issue but nothing..

I sent them a personal complaint about this and added the link to this thread. Hopefully they'll get to it soon, I didn't have this problem with BF3 on 8ta. On a side note I see the building address is quite close to me...maybe I shoud take a "drive" over there.

Rajiv. Think you should make the drive and go give 8ta a visit... They clearly ignore us or just to incompetent...

Does anyone have contact information for someone at www.mygaming.co.za . Maybe they could find out what on earth is going on, and if it can be fixed.

I've tried emailing Telkom mobile and received the response:

Good day Michael
Thank you for the enquiry, we will forward this to the relevant department.

Kind Regards,
Telkom Mobile Customer Service
Tel +27 (0) 81180|

Doesn't inspire much confidence, i also included a link to this thread.

I have also now tried everything, phoned them to no end. and the problem is still there.

I can play half a game, and then the connection error pops up. all the pings disappear, and you cannot do anything to change that.

Cmon Telkom!

Dear Telkom,

This issue has now become worse than when I first reported it. This contract/product that I bought from you are not performing as expected with basic functionality lacking when it comes to online gaming. This is in breach of the CPA. Please consider this my first notice to you that I am not happy with this product.

Thank you
