Same, just gets frustrating when it takes 4-5 hops to find a server which isn't 60-90% bots.
We might have to play more Freemium Battlefield, Gauntlet and BR as at least there's more humans 🤦‍♂️

Server browser (or whatever its called) gets you to a full server (every night) with no bots every time?

I'll check it again, thanks. First few evenings I found some SA servers there, but then after a few evenings of not seeing any SA servers I stopped checking. Not sure if it doesn't show up if it's full.

Also read that Portal servers where there are bots doesn't get you any unlocks / progress anymore, or has that been reversed?

I am 99% sure it has full XP and unlocks. I havent noticed a difference.
Full servers do not show but you can change it to show them in the menu options.
At first I was filtering by ping to show SA servers but that doesnt work half the time but if you search for "South Africa" you get half a dozen. Usually 2 or 3 are full.

Some portal servers don't give you full xp. All you need to do is hover over a portal server then (on PC its x) check the Experience info, and there it will tell you if you get full xp or not

I can't play on that server
Guessing I'm getting to old, because that server is sweatier than Florida

This is very true. It is the same people that have been playing Battlefield every night for years and they are playing as a coordinated squad. Joe Soap logging on solo after a hard days graft has no chance. It's kak when you are on the receiving end but the standards are very high.

The usual lobbies are much much easier even without bots.

Not perfect, but the matchmaking lobbies have improved (Time and day of week dependent). consistently getting lobbies with 70 - 80% humans and yes, much less sweaty
 
Consistently checking back here hoping to read about great games, against people (not bots) and decent hit registry/connection.

Conquest is my favourite BF node.

Want to click buy...........but

Yeah hit registry/ aiming my biggest gripe so far on PS5... need to fiddle more
 
Luckily I did not buy BF6. Because I foresaw what was going to happen. But I was thinking of giving "RedSec" a try. Are there even many ZA players? With a local ZA server?

Foresaw what? A game that is not perfect? You are going to be waiting for years.
BF6 is the most fun I have had playing an online FPS since BF1 in 2016. Local servers, playing with mates, bots or no bots depending on what I feel like. Game performs well and looks amazing. No crashes.

It's max 5 minute wait in the evenings on redsec and yes it is local servers.
 
My BF6 crashes on average 5 times per night.
Not the driver or directX one, but straight to PC bios (reboot).

Do you find poor performance / hectic frame drops on some maps? For the most part I'm able to maintain 120 fps on high/medium settings at 1440p though once in a while there are one or two maps where performance will tank and i'll be looking at 80-90 fps for some reason, though it's not consistent so maybe it's that memory leak issue which is supposedly fixed by exiting and relaunching the game. I'm on a 3080 10GB and if I have too much other stuff open in Windows the VRAM limit is exceeded and that also has negative performance implications, so it's usually best I close as much as possible before loading up BF6.

I have a pretty low end PC, my game is completely unplayable off the playlist but perfect when I go to the server browser. google battlefield stuttering, high CPU usage. Got something to do with the tick rates of the servers.

I found the windows search indexer was also using a lot of my CPU capabilities so I disabled it.

For some reason my logitech blue tooth dongle had like 10 instances under devices (lightspeed receiver), found a fix online and sorting that out helped a lot.

I removed all game overlays... that freed up some CPU too, microsoft gamebar, discord and EA all running at the same time probably wasn't helping.

As for finding lag/stuttering on some maps, I'm probably the wrong one to ask as I've got a top end system.
I did actually see some lagginess the over the weekend once, but then I realized I had downclocked my GPU to minimum, aka 69% power which could be the reason.

Generally though it's been very, very smooth sailing and the game seems well optimized (Arc Raiders as well) compared to many other recent releases like Borderlands and Outerworld2 slop.
