Guess no BR for South Africa EDIT: Nevermind, it seems only the Duo queue is low on players. Squad queue is only about 1-3 minutes to get in a full 90+ game 1761682692888.png

I played quite a few BR games from 17h00 to 22h00. Never more than a 5 minute wait.
It was fun with a squad of friends and even got a few wins. Heavy copy of warzone though (only better because I am BF biased).
 
played a few games of gauntlet last night, amazing game mode and que for a full SA lobby c.3minutes. Why this game mode is not in the base game seems stupid. People will over look it as they only advertising the battle royale game mode in red sec.
 
BR has definitely affected servers
Even less players on conquest yesterday. Emptier than ever
 
I've barely played this game over the past few weeks because of the amount of bots. Did they not say they where working on fixes? Last night I tried playing again and its still the same. Lobbies 3/4 filled with bots. I knew EA would find a way to screw up this game. Wish I could refund this game and buy Arc instead. As someone said above the BR will just split the already small player base in SA. My hype for this game is completely gone :mad:

I've played minimally most days, though mainly due to time. I'm probably going to scale down going forward, why play a broken game.

I wrote a negative review about one week after release and updated it further two days ago, more or less saying what you are saying. If the negative reviews starts to outweigh the positive reviews then maybe they will buck up...

We paid top dollar for a supposedly AAA game and what we got was half baked matching against bots and now being asked for more money with season 1 and the like :mad:
 
I got about 8 hours in on the 17th of October, of which every match was bots. Since then, I've opened the game to check out S1 but have not played a single match since.

It's a pity because on the very rare occasion you get a full server with humans, it's wicked fun. But as soon as the match ends back to matchmaking and a new map with 95% bots o_O
 
Seems like I am the minority having a good time then.

If you search server browser for "South Africa" there is always (at night anyway) a full server but be warned, it is sweaty as hell.

If I join a lobby usually the matches start with bots but within a few minutes it is 60/70% humans.

Redsec is also fun and I only wait max 5 minutes for a game.

A massive part of the experience is playing with a squad/party. It helps you play well and have fun with mates at the same time.

One massive PITA is the bug where the APC can shoot down jets/helis with its guided rockets and the jets/helis don't get the incoming warning. Every second game some po3s is sitting in his own base with a score of 60:0 by doing this.

I'm having a decent time, just finding the grind too much. Currently level 42, and the things i want to try are around the level 49 mark.

Haven't seen a single bot, and I'll play some Conquest, breakthrough or tdm during the day and in the evening, I am in the EU though. There are sweats here, but nothing like when I was playing previous titles in SA, don't see many huge kill scores with low low deaths.

Also, not a fan of the new map, but it does at least feel a bit more battlefield like, but jirre that thing is open.
 
Yeah the bot issue is a combination of low population zones and whatever algorithm they use for creating new matches / servers. EU and US won't really experience this.

When I am partied with my EU buddy then we randomly get put into either EU or ZA servers, so I've seen how the EU other half lives...

In the Beta it would alternate fairly evenly between EU and ZA, every match actually. But since the actual game launch it either puts us in either ZA or EU, then we're stuck there until leaving the match and re-queuing. Its only if placed in a ZA match with majority bots that we will rather leave and requeue.
