Battlefield 6 - Official Thread

Last night I played with my friend in Norway, I was party leader and every match they put us in was on ZA servers. FPS rate was really high. This evening we played again with myself as party leader, every match they put us into EU servers but this evening my FPS was dropping as low as 98 so in the end I had to cap my frame rate at 100.

ZA matches tend to be at least 50% bots. EU matches don't have any bots (edit: that I noticed ). Is the human player count just much more CPU intensive and that's what's causing my poor performance at times?

edit: Of course another variable added to the mix is the various maps involved. Some of them just seem to be very CPU intensive.

Matchmaking is an absolute fking joke. You finally get a game where majority of players are humans. Then it ends and puts you into a brand new match with 6 humans and the rest are bots. Like wtf.

It's a joke. I've played 64 player maps where 10 are humans. End up getting 100+ kills by just farming bots. Ridiculous.

I think it will be fixed someday. It can't be a difficult problem to fix. Just gotta hope the devs are at least aware of the problem but none have acknowledged it so far
 
Just got out of an epic round of operations with both sides fully stacked with human players, not a single bot. It’s a lottery really lol

Majority of those comments on that Steam thread are annoying as hell, they can't fathom that people in other regions might have a different experience 🙈

83k positive reviews with 28k negative reviews which is not insubstantial. I suppose EA will take it as a win and ignore the bot issue as being real.

Remember BF 3? Only after jackfrags made some noise did we get local servers in SA.

We've had two completely different experiences with breakthrough....
Sweatiest mode in the game

The attacking team spawn way too close to the objectives and they swarm the point within minutes of the match starting. From then on it's just a steamroll of sweaty Bhoppers and 'aim community' kids sliding around
I've not had a single defensive victory and it's been the most frustrating experience with the game.
I played about 5 rounds of breakthrough, always defending, every match a steamroll, never touched it again

Hope they iron out these issues. Another one is when you jump up rocks you get stuck and can move or jump shoot.
 
Last night we were in a match where we were decimated by bots. Felt absolutely weird. But when we looked at the scoreboard, it was PC players that added [BOT] to their usernames. Made much more sense.

Easier/more reliable to check for a console or pc icon next to their names.

Now that you mention it, I noticed some bots had a non-zero level assigned to them.

edit: Bots Pedersen and Berzina are level 28 and 6 respectively on this scoreboard.

I quickly did a edit to show what we saw.

The icon indicated PC player, but in the name it also said [BOT]. So in the kill feed you only see the name, and it looks like a sweaty bot, but opening the scorecard you can see it's a PC player trying to be funny.
