Big ADSL data bonus for Telkom Internet users

TWO months! Ridiculous.

At R239.00 per month for 20GB (R11.95 per GB) this special promotion by Telkom provides better value for money than most other ADSL ISP products available.

Surely you have to factor in the ADSL line rental; it is a tangible and recurring cost? Especially if you are going to make a comparison to no cost access-to-access-devices like mobile broadband. It is not a like-for-like comparison. It just makes Telkom's deal look better, when it is not.
 
I hope they decide in september that they should just keep caps at 20GB...
 
If this is a trial to test the feasibility of future cap increases, then its certainly a step in the right direction.

I suggest that all users on dobroadband max these new caps out to prove to Telkom that they must increase it! :D
 
If I get 30GB a month, I will be happy. Last month I used 30.76GB but that's including a Linux distro or two I downloaded yesterday with the local only and also lots of Youtube in HD yesterday just to burn some local bandwidth.
 
So if they do keep this cap this will mean in september that 1mb users will get 15 Gigs.
 
Pity they aren't bold enough to make it permanent.
 
This is probably to test if users are okay with the current caps or if they actually will go over it given more of a cap.
