AFAIK, no, although i am speaking under correction. It would be awesome though since it would mean from the get go a lot more consumers will have access to the tech, but as i understand it, you need a 3D source (ie PS3 after the firmware upgrade), and a 3D enabled display device.
I've been postponing upgrading my HDTV for about 2 years now, simply because i knew 3D was in the pipeline. IF the sets get good reviews, guess i'll finally have a reason to upgrade.![]()
Man I am searching for an article I read that stated that as long as you have an 120Hz TV with two inputs (2*60HZ) then your TV should be fine. Just cannot find it. I am sure tho that you still have to change the TV firmware?? It also depends on what 3D format they will adopt. Active or polarized passive(Avatar).
