Blu-ray 3D specifications finalized, your PS3 is ready!

Man I am searching for an article I read that stated that as long as you have an 120Hz TV with two inputs (2*60HZ) then your TV should be fine. Just cannot find it. I am sure tho that you still have to change the TV firmware?? It also depends on what 3D format they will adopt. Active or polarized passive(Avatar).

Very simple actually There are quiet a few Ps3 threads. One got closed yesterday. All degenerate back to the same arguments. This is about the 3D BluRay Specification in general and the PS3's readiness for that, Any 3D related discussion will do but if You want to debate gaming, sales, or the PS3 media capabilities its best suited for the other related threads. That's unfortunately the drawback of such multi faceted devices.

The reason for PS3 in the Title is because that is the article title and what it is about.. 3D. Read the OP and read the link presented in the OP.

Really cannot tell you as the Nvidia specs call for a graphic card with say two DVI outputs. See the NVIDIA 3D page.

Nope its a DIY 3D project using two screens where you need the two outputs for..sorry got confused between the lot. My apologies.

You do not need a TV with two inputs. But for some systems on a PC you need two identical 60HZ outputs.

A single 120Hz input should do for some of the 3D technologies. There would also be a need for a ir sync device with active glasses.

I smell many aftermarket devices coming that will make existing TV's compatible.

i had such a frikkin headache from watching UP & avatar in 3D - i'm kinda skeptical about anything that boasts the 3D label. so i'll just stick to vanilla HD content on the PS3. :p

It's all been bypassed. HDMI is cracked. My home theatre PC complains about sending high definition material over component when I forget to enable AnyDVD, but thankfully blu-ray has been cracked and DVD was many years ago.

It's particularly a problem if your eyes are not exactly matched. If it doesn't cost me extra to have it at home I'll try it out, but I doubt I'll want to use it all the time; not enough to justify additional expense.
