So far no. The taste does not compliment the beef. I'm still searching for an option

That being said I'm trying the veggie burger with a whole wheat bun

There's a gluten free bun made by my local health shop that tastes the same as a normal white-bread bun. It's a little bit heavier, but it's damn good
 
If you can find pretzel buns they're amazing. I made a batch last night for burger night and it was well worth the [minimal] effort. :)
 
Smokehouse classic looks good, though I love garnish on my burgers :-)

It has a smoked coleslaw as the base. Trust me. This doesn't need anything else. The meat is gorgeous and the coleslaw adds the moisture.

Too large a bun. Especially at the bottom. Carb overload. Talking about carb control; how about a banting burger with some smallish and low carb bun? Banting is all the rage now.

The bun is too large for the patty, agreed.

@Wesleigh - see if you can find a show called Heston Blumenthal's In Search of Perfection. In one episode, he makes his ultimate burger, including a homemade flatter brioche bun.

Yup seen it long time ago. The burger is around 12cm from bottom to top
 
Are you going to be making great ribs, nobody in JHB makes great ribs - Thundergun is a hit and miss, crawdaddys is average and they undersize, Black steers vanished, one or two others with yeh okish but nobody with sweet sticky ribs that the meat just falls off the bone :(
 
I'll start with chicken wings first. Perfect those then move onto ribs. I don't want be like roccomammas on opening day
