Maybe allow only members with a certain post count to vote? e.g. 1000 posts and you can vote. At least then votes will hopefully be contained to regular members.
Agreed. Need a mod with time on his hands to shortlist the entries...

Then there's really no point in those of us who are newer here taking part, is there? I mean if it comes down to how many mybb-registered buddies you've got then yeah - I ain't gonna be winning much tbh.Asking friends to vote for you in online competitions is hardly unique or rare. Everyone does it. If its not against the rules, its not against the rules.
Oh please, mr_norris didn't start any campaign! He is a honest and genuine person!
If you read properly, you will see he didn't start those threads - he simply asked his mates to vote for him.
Can any of the higher ranking "thread posters" honestly say they didn't ask a mate to vote for them?
Besides, Getting money back from Uncle Sam is a better post than beer!
You need money to buy beer, I know - I drink beer!![]()
Hi there
We learned about some campaigning for votes in our PS4 competition. Some people are not happy about this.
Would you agree that it is fair that the mods vote on the best thread in this comp?
2-post wonder. Registered yesterday?
One might say the competition should be based on merit, not popularity.
might as well close all competitions then.
Actually yes, I always thought mybroadband was an ISP -_-
I now see wealth of free information! Besides that I get to chat to bright sparks like yourself.
Only if cloned accounts are used. New people on mybb is a boon? I would think so.
