Cell C launches 3GB/year data offering

There are different segments of the market. So Decent to good product. This is meant to compete with vodascum's R399 for 100mb per month for 12 months. That does include the device though.

FINALLY !! , (a bit pricey) , but I have been waiting for VC or MTN to launch something like this , well done Cell C !

Useful - with the stability of my adsl having backup for essential things such as online banking is nice - which is basically all I use my current 2gb stick for (about 500mb a month with some other general usage). So this woulda been a better solution for me if i didnt already have the 2gb stick

This is great. If I had an iPad 2 (instead of an iPad 1), I would immediately get this. Waaay better than my current Vodacom Broadband starter pack R400 for 100MB / month.

Waste of money/ bad idea

Yeah no wonder they are offering 3gb for a year, because most the time it is not working.
Very very unhappy with the quality of the 5gb service, absolute waste of money. Paid 3k for a year of 60gb and the service is so up and down that I am really wanting to write it off as a bad idea.

Great if you can add it to existing contract/voice.....for daily surfing on phone, FB, twitter etc etc......love teh idea

Perfect for smart phones and tablets were there will be light data usage.

Yeah too bad Cell C works on the 900MHz band, would have been perfect for ipad 1, which currently uses vodacoms Broadband starter pack R400 for 100MB / month

Very innovative & welcome for smartfone / tablet users for email, browsing & im's.
CellC has been the most innovative this year by far.

Perfect, just what i was looking for, the every odd occation i need to buy airtime from vodascum and 2 bucks out of bundle sucks as 90% of the time i use my home wifi for my interewebs :)

Sent from my Galaxy-Tab-P1 using Mybroadband App

I lost airtime when my MTN data bundle expired recently - it was my first experience with bundles expiring, and it was less than 27 days when I loaded it. I spend about R30/month @ for my cell for data usage. This gives me about 30MB/month for R360 a year. This is a great deal for me, once off of R400 giving me 3GB/year. My usage on my cell is mostly on MTN edge with opera mini and I browse forums and their archives alot when I am away from the PC. It is a yay, and I will live with the connection issues in the evenings...

I rather pay R999 for the 2gig pm special. It just a R600 difference thou but 21gigs more for the year.

2 questions. What happen after 4 months when the data is done. Can you buy more data.
Is the frequency 900. So my normal 3g stick will not work?

Definately a step in the right direction, I'm going to get one as a backup. Winter = Rolling Blackouts = No ADSL at the most incovinient times.
