Cell C Network Issues: Disconnects, Coverage, Throughput Problems - Report Here

For the last 2 years on my Cell C contract I only managed to get a 3G connection ONCE!!! I am currently trying to buy out the last couple of months on my contract with no success...any suggestions?

For about the last 2 months we've been having an intermittent problem with the data connection to CellC dying and the device then going over to roaming

Location : Renosterkop transmitter, 25km North of Bronkhorstspruit
Google maps ref : https://www.google.co.za/maps/@-25.589222,28.944222,173m/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en
Device : Samsung Tablet 2, acting as wifi hotspot
Contract : Giga 100 sim (This is now the 4th one we are busy with and had good service in the last 4 years with the previous Giga 100s)

Speedtest result : none

Since Friday afternoon almost nothing comes through on the 3G network, making it impossible to load Facebook or Twitter, do online banking or even receive all the email accounts. When will this finally be fixed?
It worked after midnight last night until I went to bed around 2:30, but now we are back to square one.
I am in the northwest of Johannesburg, have a 5/5 connection and reboot every few hours in the hope it might work again.

Speedtest.net: Cannot load the page, it times out.
Cell ID: Not sure what this is or where to get it

I am VERY disappointed with the performance of the Cell-C network.

I've just gone through a process of getting rid of TelkomMobile in favour of your network (which offers better bulk daata deals), and boy am I sorry I did that. After midnight, the connection is OK (not great).

During the day is a different story. I have around 25-75% packet loss, pages randomly time out or don't resolve hostnames. I'm constantly having to refresh pages because half of the images are missing. Most of my messages on Skype, Slack etc. fail and retry. In short, unusable.

I started with 50GB+150GB. I've tried my best to use the bandwidth since I got it (I'm a web developer) last week, and I am now sitting at 49.66GB+146.99GB. On the day time connection over the course of 4 days, I've managed to use only 340MB.

Where do I get my R1800 back?

EDIT: I've tried using my Cell-C SIM in a USB dongle and it's behaving a lot better. So either Cell-C doesn't perform well when shared via a mobile phone, or something changed on the network since this report. I suspect it has something to do with the free Facebook which is probably activated when used directly in a mobile phone, and clashes with the sharing of the connection via USB or Wifi tethering. Just a suspicion though.

Is working again since around 13:00. Let's hope it stays...
In the past, it happened often on a Friday for 1 hour or 2 or 3, but never that long. This was almost 72 hours!

Cell C rep can you help please. No data throughput in Pierre van Ryneveld, Pretoria since just after 11AM this morning. Can't even do a speedtest.

Update: Seems to be working again now. Was down for about 2 hours.

Good Afternoon. We been experiencing bad network coverage for the last couple of years.
My Area is getting very low internet speeds. Especially during ON-PEAK hours but OFF- Peak is just as bad.
I currently stay in the Western Cape , Colorado Park Mitchells Plain. The closet BTS is about 3km away from my house.It is located in Weltevreden Valley Mitchells Plain in Bond Street.The other one is in Philippi at the train station.
I took a screenshot of my neighbours internet speeds but i have no permissions to attach files on this forum.

Is Cell C mobile data up?

Can't seem to get a data connection on my prepaid sim.

Calls outgoing/incoming are fine.

You should have someone attend to your caps lock key problem as well.
 
Did all the Cell C signal go to the forest for braais? Single bar signals inside Waterfront shopping mall. Been like this quite a while now

Im getting "No service" in the Centurion Area, tried with 2 diffrent phones.

Just to Update on this, I phoned CellC and the technical support says my sim is faulty. So I drive down to the local Checkers to buy a new sim, arriving at the checkers CellC is registered again, Full bars and HSDPA is connected.
I drive back to work, and again, No Service.
So obviously the problem is on CellC's side and not mine, I almost did a unnecessary Sim Swop :mad::p

The Problem is still not fixed though, "No Service", I see most traffic lights in the area are out, maybe a power issue CellC Rep?, maybe something to do with last nights weather?

Regardless, today was the first time i'm getting "No Service", But i have issues with CellC every day here in Centurion (at work), There is seriously something wrong with the tower we connect to here, i have had the poor internet signal from last year, on my old Iphone5, my S4, my S5 and now on my G3. When i'm home my signal and Internet works like a dream.

11:40, CellC is registering again, phone shows HSDPA, but still no internet.

12:00, Internet working again.
