Cell C Network Issues: Disconnects, Coverage, Throughput Problems - Report Here

I am constantly disconnected on my tablet for days on end. When I call other cell c numbers i am interrupted, and then i am talking to someone else, some random person. I ported from Vodacom because Cell C looked awesome, but then their service when to s#%$. I have very little, to no signal. even if i have HSDPA signal, its useless. cannot connect to the inter with that.

Can anyone give me an update or a reason? what should i do

Like I said in a previous post, they aren't fixing anything.

1) They don't have the cash to fix it. Cell C is bleeding money if you look at their financial reports.
2) They don't need to fix it. You are on a 2yr contract that you can't get out of. They do not have to deliver a service.

Surely there must be some kind of procedure to end a cell phone contract if they are not delivering service?

They are not keeping their end of the bargain. FFS I cannot make a call on this phone and its costing me R700 a month.

They give reference numbers and promises but I still cannot make a simple call on the damn thing.

Agreed. U are absolutely spot on & the same can be said for the unfortunate prepaid customers, including myself who are on the 12 month giga package.
They've got our money & are probably waiting for it to expire while they do F**kall to fix this.

My dad is on Cell C prepaid and it has been dead for the past 2 days. He normally has it roaming on Vodacom but that's also dead as can be. If things aren't better in a couple days I'm going to suggest he goes back to Vodacom.

Currently on the second day of my new Cell C Giga 200 connection at my family's beach house, which was needed as DSL isn't an option. I set it up as a wifi connection with a router, and fortunately found a good spot that receives between 4 and 5Mbps. Works brilliantly. Couldn't be happier, especially considering how cheap the connection is and well suited to infrequent use.

No joy on my iPhone this morning. Called the CSD and was assisted by a very helpful rep. After updating the device's APN setting, sorted. Excellent service, very happy with their service since migrating about a year ago.

Ping: 79ms

Upload: 1.62 Mbps

Contract Type : pre-paid

Many comments call for people to just port their number to vodacom or 8ta. This is the problem. You are paying/have paid for a service and is not receiving that service. In many cases the users is dependent on the phone for their income.

Every evening around 6pm-11pm full signal with no through put.

Has been like this for 2months---

Area:Brentwood Park, Benoni

Um, if you can't roam on Vodacom then I don't think Vodacom will work either, maybe try MTN.....
