Cell C Network Issues: Disconnects, Coverage, Throughput Problems - Report Here

@broken1....you waste your time. Nobody's going to come back to you.

CellC's data service has been pathetic to say the least, the past few days. Both on my dongle and on my phone. Pings on both are 600ms+ and data transfer rate maxes out at around 500kbps if im lucky!
Please CellC fix your network!

My data connection is pretty much unusable despite me being on 3G at the moment.

Device Manufacturer & Model: ZTE MF668
Contract Type (pre- or post-paid): prepaid (R1799 promo for Giga 200)
Existing reference numbers from Helpdesk: n/a
RAT (2G/3G/HSPA+): 3G
www.speedtest.net results (if possible): n/a (haven't tested)
Any other information relevant to the problem: No throughput, sluggish

There's virtually no throughput, forcing me to disconnect. Then I'll connect again only to find that it takes ages even to load the home page of Facebook.

Zero throughput in Illovo, Johannesburg in spite of good reception.

This area is completely congested, do something Cell C.

You have your own tower at St Davids, please put LTE on it or something !!!!

And the only response from Cell C in all the threads is to keep asking for info. My question is has any one had any improvement. An official response from the Cell C rep on why this is happening and what is being done to fix, and how long it is going to take might also help to calm everyone down a bit.

Over the weekend I sent a pm asking if there's been any feedback on the details that I sent them. Unfortunately no reply as of yet.

Gmail loads (very slowly though), MyBB works okay. You Tube loads okay. Google does not load at all.

Very slow connection today (and frustrated as Telkom has not fixed the bulk exchange in our area for almost 2 weeks now).

So in short order:
Cell C: You sucking badly today
Telkom: You suck permanently

Absolutely zero throughput in Brackenhurst (Alberton). Signal is showing full (4 bars) with H+.

My wife/friends have been using the Gautrain for a while.
From Hatfield to Sandton between 05:30-08:00 and back to Hatfield between 17:00-18:30.
They have decent voice coverage but no 3G/HSDPA between the Midrand and Hatfield station.

I have full signal strength but am getting almost unusable speeds during the day. After office hours at night it is 10 times faster.

Download Speed: 290 kbps (36.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 27 kbps (3.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 333 ms

Cell C please help. Are you throttling MyGig 200 users?

Absolutely zero throughput in Parktown Estates(Pretoria). Signal is showing full (4 bars) with H+. Can't do speedtest as the Android app cannot connect to the web to refresh the list of available test servers

Had some good news during the coarse of the day, had a phone call from Cell C techical stating that they will be sorting the bad service network in my area, however it seems they have made it worse the network has disappeared completely, no through put what so ever!!

I have a TP LINK MR3420 with an 8TA E367 with external antenna. 8Ta and Vodacom sim works like a bomb. I just bought the Cell 100Gb Prepaid and the problems are endless. Cell C sim in this setup connects but very unstable and possibly stuck on edge. Logged fault with Cell C technical 1750588 and still awaiting. Has anyone had a similar situation with Cell C. I am in Pietermaritzburg, Allandale

OS: Windows 8
When modem plugged into laptop, cell c connector does not detect it, connects through MP. Whats frustrating is it connects on Edge even with 87% signal strength when plugged into TP Link.
